Your physiotherapist

Ishika

Ishika is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, with over a decade of clinical experience in Canada. She has completed advanced clinical training in pelvic health physiotherapy and has been practicing in this area for more than ten years, alongside a broad musculoskeletal and pediatric caseload.

Every appointment at Quest is with Ishika directly — the same clinician who assesses you is the one who treats you, session to session, with no delegation to aides and no double-booked rooms.

How care works here

1

Initial assessment

A full history and hands-on assessment with Ishika, leading to a treatment plan built around your specific goals.

2

One-on-one treatment

Private-room sessions combining hands-on manual therapy, targeted exercise, and education — never shared, never rushed.

3

A home program that sticks

Clear, specific exercises to continue between visits, adjusted as you progress toward being pain-free and independent.

Direct billing & insurance

Where your plan allows it, we bill your insurer directly — you pay only what your plan doesn't cover, on the day of your visit. We accept cash, debit, and major credit cards for any remaining balance.

We submit direct claims to Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, Green Shield, and Blue Cross, among others. If your plan isn't set up for direct billing, we provide a detailed receipt for your own reimbursement claim.

Workplace injuries (WSIB)

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board pays us directly for approved work-related injury claims — no out-of-pocket cost to you for covered treatment.

Motor vehicle accidents (MVA/HCAI)

Auto insurance claims are submitted directly through HCAI. If you carry extended health benefits, those are billed first, with the remainder directed to your auto insurer.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to book?

No referral is required to book a physiotherapy appointment. Some insurance plans do require one for reimbursement, so it's worth checking your plan — but you're welcome to book directly with us either way.

What should I wear or bring to my first appointment?

Loose, comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated works best. If you have prior imaging (X-ray, MRI, or ultrasound reports), bringing copies helps with your assessment.

How long does the initial assessment take?

Most initial musculoskeletal assessments run 45 minutes to an hour. Pelvic floor assessments typically take longer — closer to 60–75 minutes — to allow time for a full history, education, and examination without feeling rushed.

How many sessions will I likely need?

This depends entirely on your condition — Ishika will discuss an estimated treatment plan with you after your assessment, and adjust it as your symptoms improve.

How does physiotherapy work for a workplace injury (WSIB)?

For approved WSIB claims, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board pays us directly for your treatment — there's no out-of-pocket cost to you for covered sessions.

How does billing work after a motor vehicle accident?

Auto insurance claims are billed directly through HCAI. If you also carry extended health benefits, those are typically billed first, with any remaining cost directed to your auto insurer.

What happens during a pelvic floor assessment?

Your first visit starts with a detailed conversation about your history and symptoms, followed by an external assessment. Depending on your concern, an internal assessment may be recommended — this is always explained clearly beforehand, and only proceeds with your full, informed consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

What conditions can pelvic floor physiotherapy help with?

Common concerns include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, constipation, and pregnancy or postpartum-related issues like diastasis recti and pelvic girdle pain.

Does Quest treat bedwetting or bladder concerns in children?

Yes — pediatric pelvic health, including bedwetting and daytime accidents, is treated with the same gentle, age-appropriate, one-on-one approach as our other pediatric services.

At what age can a child start pediatric physiotherapy?

Pediatric physiotherapy can begin in infancy — conditions like torticollis are often addressed within the first few months of life — right through the teenage years.

Is there free parking at the clinic?

Yes — free, unrestricted parking is available in the plaza lot right outside the clinic entrance.
